Altınoluk Resort Community

Gulf of Edremit - Balıkesir

Altınoluk Resort Community is planned on a rather flat, 11.5 ha site on the Gulf of Edremit - with an FAR of 0.5. Plantation of reeds on the coast and on the adjacent stream, and the impressive view of the Kaz Mountains characterize the project. Two hundred dwelling units are planned in the form of clusters which surround partially paved courtyards designed in pedestrian scale. Each cluster consists of a combination of dwelling types, such as 150m² single family, 120 m² twin and 90 m² row houses. The vehicular circulation encloses the settlement at the periphery and pockets of car parking is located adjacent to each cluster. Common green areas are designed so as to infiltrate the clusters, and extending longitudinally on the site, arrange vistas towards the Kaz Mountains. From here the alleys reaching the shore are organized. A symbolic tower at the center, gathering the open pools and recreational areas, prescribe the focal point of the settlement. The social facilities like restaurants and shopping centers are situated closer to the seacoast and are accessible from the main entrance of the resort community.
