Mezitli - Mersin

The project is composed of tourism facilities, a five star hotel and convention center, housing in the form of residence units, and a shopping street. The 78.000m2 tourism complex is planned on 39.000m2 site on the Mezitli coastline. The building is designed as a perimeter block surrounding the area, with high-rise blocks creating a skyline with towers. The public spaces are developed as means of recreation. A shopping street connects the entrance of the complex with the public beach. The upper stories of the housing and hotel blocks are oriented towards to the seascape.

The elementary units of Mediterranean architecture: the housing unit and the terrace are the main elements of the design. Architectural pattern is produced by grouping of 6 different types of units and terraces. The 6 different housing unit types range from 100m2 to 450m2 and every unit is designed with a terrace. Exterior finishing materials are planned as wood, stone blocks, textured plaster.
