Kadıköy Undergraduate Students Dormitory

The building will be built in Merdivenköy neighborhood of Kadıköy district and will house two different programs in the same building; an undergraduate student dormitory and a public indoor swimming pool. The site has a level difference of 6 meters on its long edge which has been utilized to house the two different programs, the public swimming pool is accessible from the lower street level. The dormitory rooms are organized around a courtyard facing the upper street and open vista, the back of the building face a dense residential tissue; in this way the dormitory rooms are protected from noise and visual pollution. Below the courtyard a semi Olympics size swimming pool is located. The building houses rooms for boys and girls in different blocks via a common entrance and reception. The ground floor of the dormitory complex is for public functions; a cafeteria and a multi-purpose hall with 100-person capacity, a study room and a seminar room. Dormitory rooms are planned as units for one three persons; rooms. On each floor common kitchen and lounge spaces are planned.
