Nişantaşı - Istanbul

This residence located in the Nişantaşı district, is a typical apartment with 120m² usable area. The impact of the long corridor - connecting the rooms on the courtyard facade, with the living and dining rooms on the street facade - was eliminated by taking down of non load bearing walls of the corridor. Thereby the kitchen space behind was opened. The impractical dressing room and toilet were re-planned as cloakroom and guest shower. Unnecessary door cases and frames were eliminated and a more open plan was achieved. The new architectural conception was emphasized by white painted walls and continuous oak parquet wood floorings.
