Istinye House Restoration

İstinye - İstanbul

In accordance with the restoration project approved by the Board for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, the reconstructed historical residential building is located in Istanbul Sarıyer, İstinye District, in a neighborhood where the historical texture is severely lost. Surveying, Restitution and Restoration projects were completed in 2013-2015.

The original plan scheme of the building, the layout and the dimensions of the rooms were adhered to, the stair and wet places of the building were preserved in their original positions as dictated by the Board for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage. The exterior has been re-designed in accordance with the Restitution Project and the interior of the house has been re-modeled in order to be transferred to the next generations, with the design and technical arrangements that can meet the needs of modern life.
